The Award Ceremony was a WOW!

Memorandum

Thank you to all who attended the Couple, Parent and Youth of the Year 2005 Ceremony. A wonderful event that was enjoyed by all who attended. The ceremony was held at Pastor Brutus’ church in Brooklyn, New York. The event was hosted by Dr. Daniel Laurent, and the Spirit of God was present at the award ceremony, making the event excellent and memorable.

DLCMCDC fans and Pastors from different States and members from many different churches were able to witness and share in the joy of crowning the Couple, Parent and Youth of the year 2005. It was an emotional and rewarding experience, that filled whoever looked on with a hope to one day become a Couple, Parent and Youth of the year.

The musical performances of the night were spectacular. Angelor Laurent sang beautifully as did the choir of Pastor Brutus’ church. It was an unforgettable night for the Couple, Parent and Youth of the Year.

The DLCMCDC Couple of the Year 2005 (Mr. Jean and Mrs. Anick Bastien) was, and it was clearly seen by everyone that they loved each other. Their children were present and were asked by Dr. Daniel to join their parents on the pulpit to see them receive their crowns. The DLCMCDC Parent of the Year 2005 (Marie Ange Lezeau) was, and she was honored by receiving the crown for parent of the year for the second time. The joy that she felt was evident in her speech, and her son was there to share the moment as well. The DLCMCDC Youth of the Year 2005 (Cassandra Emmeline Laurent) was , and she received her crown acknowledging the work and responsibility that the title carried. She expressed her gratitude for being chosen as Youth of the Year. Cassandra was able to share the honor with her sisters, brothers and parents (Dr. Daniel and Marie Laurent).

This event was an example of how God truly values marriage and families. Marriage and families are two very important components in society, because they help make up our communities. The integrity of a community depends on the people who live in it. Therefore, couples, parents and youths must maintain a level of integrity and keep a strong faith in the Lord. This way they can set an example for others that look to them for support. As believers of Christ we must be set apart and live a life that upholds His word. DLCMCDC wants to encourage positive behaviors in relationships and families, which is why so much importance is given to upholding the family as well as relationships.
